Another mission complete — Pennywell Gardens, Edinburgh.

Commissioned by Robertson Central East to deliver a full aerial visual inspection and condition survey of this residential block, ahead of planned roof repair works.

This one came with a unique structural challenge. The roof consists of two entirely separate sections at different heights, requiring a carefully adapted flight plan and heightened situational awareness throughout the operation. Complex geometry means complex risk management, and that’s exactly where professional drone inspection earns its place.

Both roof sections were fully captured and catalogued, with every defect precisely indexed to a roof surface map, giving the client exact defect locations across the entire structure.

Flying over an occupied residential site meant active monitoring of pedestrian and avian activity at all times, with a full emergency response plan in place before a single flight was made.

The deliverable was a survey-grade condition report providing a permanent visual baseline of both roof sections. Not just for the upcoming repairs, but as a long-term asset management tool that eliminates the need for costly scaffolding during future routine inspections.

That’s the power of professional drone inspection.
